Halfway Through Summer

Dear Sophie,
Since I've discovered Facebook, I'll confess that I've really neglected our blogging but I'll try to remedy that.
You've had quite an eventful summer so far. We zipped up to Montana for a few days in July to be with Dan for his 40th birthday. You had such fun playing with some of Addie's agility equipment, and you thoroughly enjoyed the wide-open corral I let you run around in. The biggest kick I got out of you, though, was your obsession of the fish pond in your puppyhood playground, and the bewilderment in your eyes when you just could've sworn it was a lot bigger than that!
In commemoration of your 30th airplane flight earlier this year, Daddy brought you home a little set of US Airways wings to attach to your harness. Then, coming home from Montana, our flight attendant was especially excited to hear you were on your 33rd flight, and he brought you a set of real flight attendant wings! So we attached those to your dog bag! Cute, eh?Here's wishing the rest of the summer to be uneventful and relaxing in preparation for your first cross-country journey coming up in September. It'll be a big one!
